Dirk began his recruiting career in 2013 with a large, national recruitment firm where he led the recruitment of dozens of physicians and physician executives for major health systems, hospitals, academic institutions, not-for-profit organizations, and medical practices across the Southeastern U.S. In his role, he was regularly recognized as a top performer in the region through monthly and quarterly accolades. In 2018, Dirk joined another executive search firm, where he mastered the art of blending a “white glove” recruitment approach with a proven, refined executive search process. In this role, Dirk helped secure more than thirty C-suite and VP-level executives for mid-size to multibillion-dollar organizations nationwide.
Most recently, Dirk used his physician and physician executive recruitment experience to build a physician executive search function at a growing firm, successfully filling key physician leadership roles ranging from C-level to department leadership across a variety of specialties including behavioral health, cardiothoracic surgery, critical care medicine, and others.
Dirk joined Jackson Physician Search as the Director of Physician Executive Search in August 2022 after recognizing the strength of its best-in-class resources. Dirk resides in Duluth, GA with his wife, Ali, and their three sons, Eric, Milo, and Theodor. The Jansson family is active in the local recreational sports scene and enjoys live music and cooking as a family.
